Senior picture outfits

dress like the most confident version of you

"What should I wear?" is the question every senior asks — and it matters, because your outfits set the whole mood of your portraits. The good news: you don't have to figure it out alone. Every senior session at Blue Sky's Studio includes styling guidance, and we'll help you plan three or four looks that fit your personality and your locations.

The simple rule: wear what makes you feel amazing, choose solid colors and textures over busy logos, and plan one look that's a little dressier than you'd normally wear. Then match each outfit to its backdrop — light and flowy for the beach, bold and textured for downtown.

Outfit ideas for girls

Plan a mix — one casual, one bold, one dressy — and match each to a backdrop.

Urban & downtown

Bold solids, denim, leather and a statement shoe. Graphic tees and jackets look great against murals.

Casual & cool

Your favorite jeans, your college sweatshirt, boots or sneakers — the outfit that feels most like you.

Do

Choose solid colors, soft neutrals and rich jewel tones. Mix textures — knits, satin, denim, lace. Bring layers you can add or remove. Pick shoes you can walk in between spots, and bring the pretty pair for photos.

Skip

Large logos and busy prints, neon colors, and anything brand-new you've never worn. Make sure everything fits well and is steamed — wrinkles show on camera.
