Blue Sky's Studio is a full-service boutique portrait studio: we plan your session with you, guide what everyone wears, photograph your family in the best light Orange County has to offer, and then help you turn your favorite images into wall art and albums you'll actually see every day.
It's the same experience whether you're booking Orange County family portraits, a three-generation gathering or your teen's senior portraits — and it's why families have come back to us for more than twenty years.

A consultation call
We talk about your family, the occasion and the feeling you want your portraits to have — and where they'll hang in your home. That tells us everything: the location, the light, the size of the group and the style.
The weeks before
Location & wardrobe styling
We help you choose the perfect spot — a Laguna Beach cove, Newport Coast, your own home — and send our styling guide with color palettes that work with the setting. Coordinated, never matching.
Session day
Your portrait session
Most coastal sessions are at golden hour, the soft light just before sunset. We pose and play — a mix of classic portraits and relaxed, candid moments — and keep it fun for the littlest ones and the grandparents alike.
About two weeks later
Your reveal & ordering appointment
You'll see your favorite images for the first time at an in-person design appointment. We show you how each piece will look on your own walls, so you can choose your wall art, albums and prints with confidence.

Every piece is retouched and produced by professional labs — framed prints, canvases and hand-bound albums made to last for generations, not a hard drive.

What makes Blue Sky's Studio a luxury portrait experience?
We handle everything: a consultation, location planning, wardrobe styling, a professionally directed session, an in-person ordering appointment and finished wall art and albums. You never have to figure out printing or framing on your own.
How much does a family session cost?
The session fee is $300 and covers planning, styling help and your session. Prints, albums and wall art are chosen at your ordering appointment, and most families invest between $899 and $5,000. Extended family sessions have a $599 session fee for the whole group.
What happens at the ordering appointment?
You'll see your images for the first time, choose your favorites and see exactly how wall art and albums will look in your home. There's no pressure and nothing to figure out alone — we guide you through every option.
Do you help with what to wear?
Yes. Once you book, we send our styling guide with color palettes that work with your location, and we're happy to review outfit options with you before the session.
Where do sessions take place?
Anywhere in Orange County — Laguna Beach coves, Newport Coast, Dana Point, your home, or our Laguna Beach studio. We'll recommend the best spot for your family and the time of year.
How far ahead should we book?
Four to eight weeks is ideal, and earlier for the holidays and summer weekends, when golden-hour dates go quickly.
